I did not know about the Inkbird! I've been using a Finnex HC-810M for at least 5 years with no issues. I have a 500w and 300w titanium heaters running. Easy to program as well. Word of caution that knock-offs are being made. There was an updated version made years back. If you get one it should look like the one in the picture and not have a removable fuse on the bottom middle of the controller.

Ryan, that light grows some serious chaeto. Got a smokin deal on ebay and had to use it. I pull about half a 5g bucket every 2 weeks and only leave a small baseball sized chunk lef.
If I am able to program them it is a big indication of how easy they are. Ryan is a tech savvy gadget guru. I am certainly not and it is pretty darn simple. Plus if you unplug it or lose power it remembers the settings. I had the same one Ryan has that does not have a low temp alarm and there was a hardware issue that made it keep shutting the heaters off completely and then not alarming since there was not one. I must have just had a bad one- they said it was a hardware issue. I haven't heard of anyone else having that problem but the customer service was wonderful working with me over a Chinese Holiday from home. They replaced it with the dual alarm model at my request. I bought another for my reef tank and will get a spare for my QT tank. Love the Inkbirds. They really are a peace of mind.
