I had green beard algae growing which I really enjoyed until I moved house all of my drift wood got mixed up so a lot of the healthy algae is now trapped at the bottom of the tank which is turning white, as my discus have been really stressed and constantly ill I'm worried about taking all the wood out and rearranging it, my tank is a 55 gallon low planted , with 4 adult discus, 2 Bn, and 5 cardinal tetra and 5 penguin tetra, I run
A fluval g3 and a internal filter I do water changes every other day, what my question is: is the white algae harmful for my fish? Should I just wait this out and maybe dose with excel? Is there any fish or shrimp that will eat the white algae?
