It's a miracle!!!
It's a miracle!!!
Wow now thats a nice Hardscape tank those make the best discus tank and the wild discus nice office piece.
Thanks man, I would have to agree, I do enjoy this look, I find myself constantly staring at youtube videos and pics of these very tanks. Mine is a poor mans version compared to some of the stunners out there...
If I could only convince my wife the same! She is salt salt salt... If I could do a monster 300-400 gallon hard scape full of SA cichlids, I think I could sway her!
Thats funny i find myself watching the same videos on hardscaping on discus and Angels.the tea stained water definitely tops it off.I have Hardscape tanks with hans stendkers and and tank with kennys discus. i like some color but thats next a tank of wilds.just tell your wife she can have the 400 gallon salt reef and you will be happy with the 300 gallon it mite work good luck.are those wattley discus just curious.Nice tank philly.
Hey star, I agree those tanks are stunners to my eye. Funny you say that with the tea stained water. Yesterday I added some catappa leaves. The water is coloring up and the leaves look rather cool! I need to take a picture because I am amazed at how they fell. I was saying it to some of my staff this am because it looks as if I poured over where to place these leaves they just fell tilted in corners, caught under a branch, looks so nice and well natural...
I can snap a few shots, but it may be a few years before I get total darkness here again! Lol. You guys will be stuck with my biggg arse in the background....
Hallelujah you finally did it Phil! Now we can really see these beauties! How absolutely gorgeous they have become. In fact, the tank looks so good with the office lights off, why not just work in the dark all the time? Better yet, forget about work and pull up a chair! Who could get any work done with that stunner sitting there anyway? I have been known to shut off the vacuum mid pass and just sink into the couch and check out for awhile. Seriously though that tank is what we all strive for. So natural and peaceful. I am becoming a huge fan of wilds because of you and Al. Nicely done man...
Thank you so much Jenine !!
It's kind of bittersweet that these pics come as I face some issues with my tank.
I'm keepin the faith and got some good advice that I am following. We shall see!!
Your group looks amazing. Keep up the good work

Beautiful tank Phil! !
Good job all around. Is that a 72 bow they're in?
President - North American Discus Association
Thanks boys !
Yes Keith it is a 72 bow, one of my fave tanks! I had 3 including This one. Sold one and have another dry in the basement
I really like 72s too, but mine have always ended up developing leaks. And apparently I don't have the knack for resealing tanks. I've switched to a 75 to see if my luck improves.
Don't go jinxing me now man! Dang... lol
It's funny you say it cause this tank has a hell of a history. It's was bought and re sold a few times between some friends this is my second go round with it.
I was so hasty to get it all set up that I didn't do much to it besides a good clean. I can't recall if a friend re sealed it a few years back or not. Either way she's rolling strong now.
