The bare branches are something they would encounter in their Natural Habitat...Im sure they are fine with them Harry.. just be mindful if they dart..its a gash waiting to happen.

ps..I like the look.
This is my 400L tank with 100L sump.
I like the current look but I'm not sure if my discus like the branches behind the big log.
2 months ago, they were cover with green beautiful christmas moss, thanks to the 7 seamese algae eater, they are gone .
Should I remove the branches for more swimming space or leave it as it is.
Thanks guy, hard to decide.

Thanks, despite the look, those branches have no sharp or pointy point, I cut them off to a flat edge at least 1cm in diameter . The only problem to them so far is during small fight, the big fish will hit the branch by his head slightly, didnt seem to bother them that much. Man, feel like I need to double the size of this tank .... feel so small for my greed
I don't think you have any potentially serious problem, Harry - relax a bit and enjoy your tank & fish - both which look pretty darn good.
