    Visited a lavender farm recently, have to go back for better lighting but what a cool place.. Only took a few pics this time.

    I can almost smell the place through my screen.

    Is that close up of the butterfly on a butterfly bush or lavendar? Looks exactly like my current butterfly bush blooms.

    Eric they had butterfly bushes along the edges....thats on one. good eyes. I have a bunch here just starting to flower.

    Probably the best thing about this farm is theres no fees. You are free to walk around ,take pics, they have a 3 foot high outdoor chess set.. patios etc.People walk around like its a park. They do have a shop there with all lavender products, many made there. They also sell a lavender lemonade which though pricey was very good..They have only been around a few years hope they continue to grow and keep the atmosphere.

    I think lavender and the butterfly bush are the best smelling flowers in my yard, I bet that place just smelled incredible. Great pictures!

    Beautiful shots! The dragon fly shot is incredible. What did you shoot it with?

    Thanks! Thats my favorite pic too of the set, though I like the beehives alot. Reminds me of colorful beach cottages.

    I use Pentax cameras,in this case a k3 dslr and tamron 70-200mm lens. Its a bit heavy for a walk around lens but it really is an amazingly versatile lens.
