Default Worms that move like Caterpillars

Well as in the title really. My microscope finally arrived so I had a quick look at some fish poo. It's all action here! Anyway I spotted a worm thing that moves a little like a caterpillar....pushes out its front end then pulls up the back end. Perhaps .5mm long and .03mm girth.
So has anyone any idea what these are?
I'll try to take a film of it tomorrow but as I have some Prazi 50% I guess it can't hurt to give them a dose.
    Thanks.

Well this is shocking and scarey.....

I think there are eggs, one of the caterpillar type things goes across the middle egg at about 20 seconds. But there are also round things buzzing about and long things which look like they are wearing a crown at the front.
I want rid of all these, its making my skin crawl! Please, how do I do it?
    Thanks.

It looks like a typical collection of what you might find on the bottom of a tank or in substrate. Probably harmless although lots of these indicate overfeeding or lack of tank cleanliness.

When you examine poop with a microscope its important to catch the poop with a net before it hits the bottom. When it sits on the bottom it gets invaded by whatever is living there and it doesn't mean these things were in the fish.

The crowned critter sounds like it might be a rotifer.

You might find this link useful in identifying what is in your sample.

Thanks for that, I'll get a better sample as soon as I can. It is bare bottom and I hoover the poop/leftover food 2-3 times daily...I'll start using my long handled scrubber thing aswell. thanks again.
