    What's the benefit of the triangle? Not a sponge filter guy so I'm curious. Save space? Stick it in a back corner ?

    There's many varieties of sponge filters available on Amazon and eBay, the Hydrosponge V style is still the best one to use IMO.

    Yeah, they were on Aquabid a long time ago very cheap. I liked them a lot more than the Lee's, because they were like $2 a piece and it was nice having the airstone.

    They came in other shapes, but I think the triangle was supposed to be used the way you suggested.

    No doubt, there are better products available. I use mainly Hydro Pro IV's and some Poret at this point. Just curious as to whether or not anyone is selling them. It looks like a company in China is making them now (Purcell), but I can't find anyone here carrying their products.

    I found Drs. Foster & Smith selling Hydrosponges cheaper than Amazon and eBay.
