Default Recommendation for a pump to move water from my buckets into my tank

Currently I dump my water buckets into my tank. Anyone use a solid pump that can lift water at least 8 feet high?

    Thanks in advance.

    Uh buckets!

There are many options for pumps. How much water are you trying to move and how fast?

The pumps you might consider all should have a performance curve. This graph should show you how many gpm at any given feet of head

I use this pump. 12 feet from bottom of aging barrel to top of my tank using over 30 feet of hose.

I'm trying to move between 20 and 30 gallons of water. I'm not worried about speed. I just want to make sure the pump will move the water form the bottom of the bucket to the top of the tank............about 6 feet. I did some research but there are so many options between local pool stores and amazon / walmart. I was curious to see if anyone had experience with a pump they like. I've seen prices ranging from $30 - $100.

Thanks, I think that's a little big for what I'm looking for. I age my water in the buckets, nothing too big and I carry them right next to the tank.

Harbor fright had some nice little pumps in the $20 range that pump water up at least 6 feet. I have a few for water changes on smaller tanks. It fits nicely in a bucket and suctions to the bottom. https://www.harborfreight.com/620-gp...ump-63314.html

I use this for my 30 gallon open top barrel. It should empty buckets pretty quickly and it is easy to just move the pick-up from bucket to bucket. No need to move buckets!

Check out the EcoPlus Mag Drive pumps. Good and cheaper alternatives to the popular Danner Mag Drive pumps. Kens Fish has them the cheapest. Plenty of head height on the 700 and 900 gph pumps.
