1. Please explain the problems with your fish. When did you notice the problems and did anything unusual happen that you think started them?

Long stringy white poop suddenly showed up on one of my fish. Probably 1.5" long (photo attached at bottom)

2. Symptoms (i.e. turning dark, excess slime, not eating, clamped fins, flashing, darting, clamped gills, white/yellow/green poop, hiding, headstanding or tailstanding, white on tips of fins, rotting or fungus, blisters/white zits on fish, bloated, cloudy eyes, wounds).

^ Symptom above stated today 9/11. Some random twitching, but the fish is eating, fins all extended, good color and is active.

3. What medications/ treatments have you already tried and what were the results. Include dosage and duration of treatment.

No meds yet. Was going to raise temp to 88F and add epsom salt today.

Tank/Water

4. Tank size and ages, numbers and sizes of fish.

230 gallon tank, eight 5" discus. I have had the fish for two months now, they haven't had any problems eating and have grown the better part of an inch.

5. Water change regime (What percentage and how often).

75% 3x weekly, gravel vac sand every time.

6. How long has tank been running? Is it bare bottom? If you have substrate, what type and how deep is it?

Tank running for 2 months with fish, was cycled 'old school' ammonia method one month prior to fish added. 1.5" deep pool filter sand substrate, some rocks driftwood and several amazon swords.

7. Do you age your water? If you do for how long and what is the ph swing.

Water is aged 1-2 days, API conditioner added, negligible ph swing from tap vs aged but I age anyway.

8. Parameters and water source;

Note: Water Parameters are important in diagnosing problems within a tank. If you don't own test kits for the following information, you can purchase them, test your parameters and post this info as soon as possible.

- temp _86-87F____

- ph ___8.2 and stable__

- ammonia reading __0__

- nitrite reading __0__

- nitrate reading __~5__

What type of water or combinations of water sources do you use? If it is an RO/tap/well water mix, please list percentages in the mix.

- well water ____

- municipal water __x__

- RO water ____

9. Any new fish, plants or inverts added recently.

Nothing added.

10. Please tell us what you feed your fish and how often. This can be critical information for solving the problem so be as specific as you can.

Feed 3-4x daily. 1-2x a day frozen bloodworm, 1-2x FDBW+spinach. Trying to ween them off FBW, I have heard that white stringy poop can be misconstrued as bloodworm casing poop?

11. Include any pictures or videos you have which shows the symptoms. If you can't add them to this post, please provide a link to them.

This is the best pic I could get with the glare ect. You can see a 1.5-2" stringy white poop hanging out his back.

I'm thinking it's an internal parasite. This is the fish's first sign of any weird poop, was solid and black throughout quarantine and up until today. These are my first discus so I'd like some good opinions on that to do.

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY ADVICE!
