Default TDS and Water Changes when no longer using Salt

One of my Discus had some skin irritation so I added some salt to their tank. Now that the irritation is cleared up I am no longer adding salt with water changes.
I decided to use my TDS meter to see how far off my tank was from the tap.
Our muni water here is consistently about 58 out of the tap. The tank was much higher (its currently around 300), so I changed to 25-30% WC daily from 50-70% every other day.
They are showing no stress signs with the current changes, and are happily eating immediately afterwards (and laying and eating eggs).
Should I just keep motoring with the 25-30% until the tank and tap match more closely, or is it ok to do a big change? I like to give them a big change once a week.

In your position, I would go back to large water changes. The change in salinity is minor.

At my age, everything is irritating.
