    Unhappy Discus lost eye

One of my 6yo brown wilds jumped out of my planted community tank last night and severely damaged it's eye landing on the tile floor (see pic) It's like it has peeled back the eye cover and lost the entire iris which I found on the floor, I have put the fish back into my tank with it's tank mates and it generally seems OK aside from the injury and looking very dark. My question is how should i treat this with what medication and if with an injury like this it may be better to euthanize the fish.
    Any and all help welcome.

Dear Trang, Do not euthanize your discus! I have several discus that I keep in my not for sale tank that have had bad injuries we have been cured. The female of my favorite breeding pairs has one eye. I would treat your discus with Bifuran (or Furan-2, whatever) according to the directions on the package. This is best done in a hospital tank with daily water changes. Just keep it clean and medicated to avoid infection until it heals. Your discus will be fine with one eye.
