    Default Quarantine decisions

So I have one bristle nose Plecostomus that will be put into my future discus tank. I am wanting tank mates for my discus too. Question is. Should I cycle the tank empty with the pleco in a QT tank and introduce the group of discus to the standard tank when they arrive..or should I add the pleco to the standard tank with some tank mates and QT the discus when they arrive. I'm looking at 3"+ discus, and will probably order 5-6, I'm worried about how large of a QT tank I'd need for that many discus.

You are quarantining discus so that they do not infect other discus. So if the tank has no existing discus, then it can be a quarantine tank for all new discus. Hope that's clear.
