    Default New pair

Hello all. So I have two Discus that have paired up and have laid eggs twice now. They are the eggs the first time and the security nd time they ate the wriggles due to me doing maintenance on the tank. Totally my fault, but the build up at the bottom was getting so bad I couldn’t stand it anymore. They have been in a community tank but at this point I will be moving them to a 20 gal tall tank.

    The tank setup:

    Temp: 84
    Filtration: sponge filter
    Decoration: breeding cone

It’s pretty simple. I will also be putting a white background on all sides except the side I’ll need to see into.

I’m a bit concerned about moving them, that it will cause them to no longer breed. What are the chances that could occur?
Does everything sound correct or do I need to change anything?
Water perimeters are identical to the tank they are in now.
I plan on daily WCs to keep levels correct.

    Thanks for the feedback!

I would lower the temp back down to your show tank temp. If that is what they are used to spawning in, then they likely will spawn in the same temp in the 20gal.

Thanks Jacklyn. Both tanks are kept at 84. Thanks!
