Liz knows angels! Those are so pretty. I have lots of fish from Liz's fishroom, they are all beautiful and healthy. And she knows how to ship them too. Can't go wrong with fish from Liz.

I got 6 (plus a freebie) of Liz's half black angelfish juveniles today. They arrived perfectly, and with a free one so I was thrilled. Got them in a 30gal bb qt tank at 80.5 degrees with rooibos tea and a simple HOB filter. Very happy with the shape and health of these fish, within a couple hours they were accepting flake food, I gave them the tiniest bit bc they looked ready to eat. Later tonight I threw some loose FDBW in there and they are eating it too. Great little fish, they seem to be intrigued by my heater lol.

Morning Update: all fish doing well and eager to accept flake food. they seem to want to search the bottom rather than the surface and the water column for food today. Their bellies are round and full after two small flake feedings so far today.

Very cool!!
What is the plan for them?
I'm so glad you're pleased with them Jacklyn. When it comes to food, these guys are bottomless pits. I don't know where they put it. They're constantly hungry.
Barb. Your box with the offspring from the RSG pair and the Sunset pearl scale Angels will be on it's way to you Monday.

RSG pair??? do tellllll
I got the parents from Ryan by winning his auction for Simply. They are drop dead gorgeous fish but there were fertility problems. I finally got a pair to raise a small spawn but like I told Barb, the quality is there but because these are tank bred fish rather than wilds. She may get spots or she may get a bunch of Turks.

Still sounds fun!! I love me some RSG! Not to hijack the OP post! Maybe start a new thread w some pics! Sounds cool either way!
I will as soon as I clear out some tank space. I have 9 more but they're in a 65 with a group of gold rams. They need to go in a smaller tank so I can get a good pics. He're a shot of the parents.

I know what you mean about bottomless pits. Feeding a tank full of 300 baby angels is like feeding meat to piranha. I could dump a whole can of flake food and they would polish it off quick.
here is an updated video of the hungry monsters, I've had them almost 3 months now
~JACKLYN~
in the tank with the angels are 7 bronze corydoras, 8 or so amano shrimp, two hatchetfish, one bristlenose pleco, and 5 tetras. I do not feel the angels have outgrown the tank yet but in another 3 months I feel that I will be ready to make a change for them, don't know to where yet though.

Jacklyn,
Nice back ground wall. Did you make it?
