Do you want in line heater or in tank?
Hello , i need feed back , i have only perset heaters , they were fine for my angle fish, i no longer have , now i have a 55 gallon main tank and a 20 gallon quarantine tank , for Discus AND Plecos, but i cant get my temp above 84 f , which isn't the worst thing for main tank, although id prefer 86f, but my quarantine tank i need it higher to battle ick , 86-88 f ,,, so i don't want to accidentally purchase another preset heater ... any feed back would be appreciated

We're talking about pre-set heaters, right?
Heaters are more of a "which is the least awful" issue. Use 2 with a controller if you want complete peace of mind. 2 smaller heaters is also fine, but using 1 heater at 5w per gallon is asking for trouble.
I like Aqueon Pros, because they don't break when dropped.
If you can spare the $ and can get hold of them, imho the best are German made Schego titanium heaters, pretty much indestructable. You will need a separate temperature controller, I use an inkbird 308

I have this heater on my geophagus/discus tank. The best heater/controller have ever used.
