    Default Drip system issue

Hi all hope everyone had a great new years and holidays.

i set up a drip system in my basement on my 55 gallon tank with Joey overflow and it work perfectly for the past 2 months. 4,5 days ago i add another tank (29g) to the same system (old tank, with cycle media). Day 3,4 i add 2 rummy nose in it and within 20 hrs they where dead. So then i realize i have a big issues, i closed my drip system and went thought my troubleshoot, i check my drip system pipe and found minerals in the pipe (pictures). So now i need to filter my water before going to my drip system (looking for recommendations).

Are minerals clogging the line? If so, you just need a sediment filter. You can find 10" filter housings with 3/4" input/output threads online for under $20. A 5 to 20 micron sediment filter should catch most stuff, especially if you run two (20 first, then 5).

I'd be more concerned about fish dying after 20 hours. Mineral deposits clogging a line won't kill that quickly.

Are you running the water first through carbon to remove chlorine? Is there chloramine in your supply?

I use two rainfresh cannister under sink water filters. First one is sediment, second is carbon. I also drip on-top of aeration bubbles.
