Really like the prussian blue/bright red on its face leading to the titanium hwite collar.
I haven't had any time at the past months to take pictures...Just way too much on my plate... But when it literally comes to you its hard to resist the urge. Thats how I got to have a photo session with Bob. Bob's homeless and has no family that we know of.. He started hanging out around the yard in fall and took up residence in the surrounding woods and hedges. I started seeing more of him as the snow fell and decided to to coax him to where we feed the birds.,, He gratefully took up residence there and usually visits in the early morning hours when its too dark to really take a good picture. He did stay out though long enough when it was snowing recently and I wasable to take some pics through the window. Not Great shots but enough for enjoying.. I hope to get him to pose for me under better conditions.
"Bob" got his name because I started watching an old painters show on Hulu, Bob Ross to relax at night. Bob the pheasant is just as relaxing to watch and is a really spectacular painting in motion.
Meet my friend, BOB...

Nice Al. I think pheasants are some of the most beautiful birds we have in this country. We're usually fortunate enough to have one show up around our bird feeders in the winter. One of the golf courses I like to play here is in an area that used to raise them to release for hunters. They're all around the course; one of those links style courses with lots of natural surroundings. It's great until they screetch in your backswing
Nice pics, Al.
Gotta love Bob's happy trees!
The episodes with his pet squirrel are the best. Lol.
Have you gotten your hands wet today?
Great pics Al of your new friend Bob. Saddened to believe some of these beautiful birds end up on peoples plates.
Bob looks like he is wearing a nicely knitted sweater with the weave like body feathers.

He is a beauty Al. Such rich colors and the images are super nice. Hope you get more chances to photograph him.

Looks like Bob made it safely through hunting season. Throw some cracked corn out by the feeder, Pheasants love it.
Your new best friend is a stunner, Al. You're camera skills ain't to shabby either.

I know nothing but it seems to me that if you were to take 3 of those shots and put them one against the other horizontally, and print the finished product big and offer it for sale, it might be marketable. In case you don't know, we have a member here who can do that. Trust me, he ain't half bad at what he does. I bought the killer solar eclipse pic that I hung over my bed from him. I admire it every single day.

Love the contrast of your new friend against the white snow.

Thanks Guys... glad you enjoyed the pics... Bobs still hanging around though not at the feeder.. We have little snow on the ground so he is back to prowling the yard, Got to protect it from potential competition I guess.

Bob is one gorgeous bird Al! Wonderful pics you got, even through the window. I like to watch Bob Ross too, if I can ever find one of his shows, usually on PBS.
