hi , is there anybody that can tell me the regimen of ich-x .
the instructions on the bottle are to me totally incomprehensible .
the active ingredients are formaldehyde and malachite green .
on some websites it says to dose on day 1 , 3 , and 7 .after 1/3 water change .
on the bottle it says at least every 24 hr or every 8 hrs. ............?
nowhere does it state how much , if it is biodegradable or not .
the color is gone within the hour .
do you re-dose the full strength (one fluid once for 454 liters ) or make up the 1/3 of the water you suppose to replace .
it seems to be a closely guarded secret how to dose it .
anybody familiar ?
i never had diseases other than dactilogyrus .

With malachite Green and Formalin.... its usually dosed every other day. But best if dosed after a very large water change, when I say large, I mean 75-90%. Its often dosed for 3-4 treatments in Discus.. Some fish species can be sensitive like tetras and "scaleless"fish. What are you treating? Ich? If so have you tried high heat and salt?

sorry i did not get back to you , actually i did but that post never made it .
im not so handy with a computer , my discus are a lot better now and started breeding again .thanks for the help.
