Default Sick now recovered - when to add back to main tank?

    Hey All,

I have three discus that have been in QT recovering from a bad break of hex. I've treated them with metro and high heat (details below). They seem to be doing good now. They have their appetites back, aren't as skittish, better color, and I can no longer see the characteristic white stringy feces.

My question is: How long should I wait before adding them back into the main tank?

It's been about a week since their symptoms improved. 3 days since treatment was completed and stopped. Any input appreciated. Thank you.

    Treatment:
Metro dosage every 12 hours, 30mg/gallon, 70% WC daily, kept at ~91 degrees F. Lasted 10 days.

Once they’re eating and look good I give it a few more days to a week

Hi Revan, as Tom suggests you will want them completely back to normal prior to returning them to the display tank. I would add to ensure their poop is dark for a couple days to a week also.
