Some more progress pics. Stand still needs sanding, conditioned and stained. While waiting to get sandpaper I started on sump. Had to make a little jig to hold the cross baffle in place while the silicone dried. I will clean up the silicone tomorrow and run a water test to see if it works the way I expect.

Here is the sump running. Couple little pinhole leaks that don't affect anything, but bother me enough they need to be fixed

What a mess getting pine to take stain. I had read about it and thought it can't be that bad. Had to end up putting 3 coats of stain down to finally get it looking right and that was after putting the wood conditioner on. Just put first coat of poly on the doors and will do a minimum of one more coat after sanding, possibly 2.
Color is Onyx.

What are you using on the inside? I used this: https://www.rustoleum.com/product-ca...f-clear-sealer
Seems to be effective at preventing mold formation.
Bottom of stand finished, now onto the canopy.

Looking good! Love the ideas of the bifold doors, creates open access for a sump. The reason why I didn't close my tanks stand in with ply was because I was worried it would make acessing the sump more difficult.
