    Default Some of my youngsters

I haven't posted in a long while, been very busy with the fish non the less. I started breeding last year and I'm on my third batch so far, and many culls later.

    Here's my current pair.

Very nice Wesley. Must be very satisfying to sit back and see what you have accomplished.

Thanks Joe, yes I'm enjoying them very much. I kept 30 for myself and will grow them out in the mean time. Spawned my fish again last week and they went free swimming yesterday so my break is over.

Beautiful! How do you manage water changes in Cape Town?

I use barrels to age and prep my water so use the exact amount when doing maintenance. I have worked out how much I can use and manage the water accordingly. I also made a gunk trap to catch all the particles and clean that, my glass and my sponges everyday. It's working very well so far and I'm keeping my nitrates low as a result. We are over the worst as the rainy season is about to start so lets hope we have a good one.
