    Unhappy Rummy nose with discus

    Hello I got new rummy nose with my discus and the discus tried eating them any suggestions on what to do I took them out and put them in a 5 gallon I don’t know why they were eating them

    Rummy-Noses are generally very good tank-mates with discus if they are adult-sixed.
    If your discus are in fact eating them, then your discus are likely large and your rummies quite young & small.
    Either that or the discus were merely chasing them around a bit because the rummies were just newly-introduced to your discus tank.

    Any new small fish will smell like fresh meat to just about any other fish.I use a large net to put new small fish in for a while and feed heavily the ones that have been in the tank.The smaller fish will take on the smell of the tank,especially when they start eating the same food.This has been my experience.
