Default Are cories safe around discus fry?

Im setting up a 56 gallon tall tank for a pair of discus with the hope of successfully breeding them.. However I want this tank to be unique and aquascaped somewhat, I dont want a empty/bare tank. Wanted to know what the outcome would be if I put a school of cories in with them? Would the cories eat or harm any of the fry? I know my best bet is to just keep the discus alone but I was curious to see if theres any suitable tank mates for a breeding discus pair and their fry? Any input would be great

Cats have no issue eating eats/wigglers when the lights are off. You can't even trust most cories with their own eggs.
