    Default White fuzzy spots

    Hi,
Can anyone identify the white spots on the discus in the attached picture and recommend a course of action?
The spots seem to erupting white fur.
    Thanks
    Chas

I posted something similar to your situation, but haven't received a response: http://forum.simplydiscus.com/showth...rst-week-Video

However, from browsing around, I believe it's fungus. Here's an older post that talks about it: http://forum.simplydiscus.com/showth...te-spot-on-fin

I had white fungus growing on my new driftwood, although I read that it wasn't harmful to our fish. Do you have any wood in your tank?

    Welcome to Simply Discus Chas,
It is possible your Discus may have scraped against some tank furniture/driftwood etc... I salt treatment along with pristine water conditions may be all that is required.
But.....please use this link to copy and paste questioner and fill in as much info as possible.

I would say it looks more like a wound that's healing, maybe he was bit or ran into something in the tank, maybe.
