The eggs will be fine. As long as they didn't dry up. We move our eggs all the time. They do have a protective coating on them and, if they were fertilized, they will develop normally.
Hello Everyone,
I did something stupid this morning and would like to know the impact and risk. I saw some breeding behavior from 2 discus in my community tank and decided to pull them out and place them into a 35 cube aquarium setup for breeding. The pair is newly formed and to my knowledge they have never mated before. After a few days of them cleaning the cone and no action, this morning I decided to clean the tank and removed the cone and noticed eggs after removing it from the aquarium. Now the cone was out of the water for no longer than 5 seconds before placing it back into the water. What are the chances of damage to the eggs?
Many thanks in advanced.

Should not hurt them at all.

Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
I wonder if anyone else has this problem. When I reply, the message doesn't appear in the thread.
Looks like its working now. Thanks for your answers.
Well the eggsperts have weighed in, looks like you should be fine. Good luck with them.
