Default Stocking 75 gal tropical fish

I started a 75 gal planted tropical tank and I’m looking for quality electric blue rams, Cory Cats and other tropical fish. I live in Florida between Sarasota and Ft Myers. Any suggestions?

I would go with several medium sized (15 or so) schools of tetras, possibly go with rainbow fish or a few angelfish as centerpieces.
    medium school of rummy nosed
    medium school of porkchop rasboras
medium school of silver tip tetras
    medium school of glowlight tetras
several hatchetfish (if a covered tank)
    large school of corydoras
small school of rainbow fish, I would go with single species

Thanks for the suggestions Jaclyn and Harry. I’m going to look some of these up. I’m not familiar with all of them.

Dang, that's a very pretty tank. I would check Aquabid for the tank mates you are looking for. Most sellers there don't sell trash although some will ask an outrageous price. Always check their feed back and ask then questions.

are those mainly crypts? if so you may have a lighting that is a little too high, you could always add floaters to provide some shade. like frogbit, duckweed or water hyacinth if you have room

    Thanks Liz,
I had a ton of crypts from when I first had lfs discus and learned better thanks to you and many others here. I just left them in this 20 gal, but the plan was to use them when my new discus batch grew into their 125 gal. It took a long time and by then there were a ton of them! I ended up just trying to stick them anywhere and I still have too many. I only bought a few tall to med plants for the back. There wasn’t much to choose from, but if they grow like the crypts I’ll have plenty. Maybe after I’ve stared at it enough I’ll try to design a nice landscape and add driftwood.
Thanks for the tip on where to get good fishies! I wish I had the energy to raise those angels of yours! Sweet!
    Jacklyn,
I have a couple T-5’s I think the bright light is actually coming from behind the tank. It gets bright back there on the patio, but my background blocks it from the tank. The guy at the fish store said I could only do low light stuff with my lighting. It’s not really as bright in person. I see it looks very bright in the pic though! Now I’m going to find out what a pork chop rasbora is! Thanks for your ideas.
