    Hard to know for sure, but the pus-colored stuff can be a sign of a bacterial problem, usually a secondary infection from hexamita flagellates or nematodes (or both) in the gut. The best way to tell if it is flagellates or worms is with a microscope, but without a microscope you have to look at symptoms.

    How is the appetite? If it eats but is losing weight, it is more likely worms. If it doesn't eat, or spits food, its more likely flagellates. Have you dewormed?
