Thats a strange one
Usually the whole fish goes dark when stressed. Its very weird to see a blue snakeskin look like that. Was there any darting or crashing going on in the tank? Sometimes if a fish crashes into something it will get some nerve damage that can cause areas to darken. I had a wild once that had half its face for months dark after a crash. Its possible this was the cause. Its definitely not.a symptom of a particular disease.
