Al did you get the photos I sent to you on the email you provided? C02 now up to 30ppm and the water appears to be clearing. do you think therefore that the problem may simply be due to an imbalance of C02, fert, and light? Have ordered some Seachem Flourish to try for the plants and have also put the LEDs back on for a shorter duration than before. B

    I did,
Here they are. If you had issues uploading its because they were too big. I resized these in my phones app and they uploaded ok.

    .

I would think So. I looked back on your posts and this planted tank is only a month planted and co2 right? Its really new.

Others here know more about planted tanks. Lets see what they say based.on the pics.

I don't think most of those plants require ferts nor CO2.Root tabs under the swords maybe. Also if you have a lot surface movement CO2 gets gassed off faster and becomes almost useless.I would give up the CO2 and ferts for those plants;most of them are slow growers and low light.

Yet before they withered and died without ferts and C02 now they are growing at quite a reasonable rate?

I used to get phenomenal growth of of my Amazon swords in a low tech.low light tank by placing an iron tab and tums under them. .. root tabs as Mervin suggested would put the ferts where the roots are...not the water table and for these plants may be all you need...An alternative here since you have the light,co2 and ferts is add more plants. Ones that grow fast and can use what you have.

Okay will look to add more plants, not sure where since the ones I have are starting to grow seriously now I only noticed when I took the photos for you as if you see the ones with the wilds on their own you can see the swords individually in the gravel! B
