So it's alright to change the water while there's still eggs? I've just been changing it twice a week around 40%. I do age my water and it's temperature corrected.

You bought an confirm pair, so either the male is lazy or your water condition needs to be looked at. Check the water condition
on the next spawn, pull out the spawning cone
and soak it in distilled water.

So I seperated the pair for two weeks and a couple days after reintroducing them they laid eggs again. You can tell the difference between the viable dark eggs and the non viable lighter eggs on the side of the cone. Hopefully they make it to wiggler stage this time.received_248102949291406.jpgreceived_248100945958273.jpg
Awesome! Looks very promising! Fingers crossed they are fertile eggs this time.

Ahhh so I came home from work and discovered that they ate the eggs. Again. I was in the process of feeding the parents medicated deworming flakes so it wasn't the best time to breed them anyways. Next time I will definitely fence the eggs so the parents don't eat them.
