Moved them to a 75g tank along with another batch from melons.

Wow, this is really incredible to see. I can’t get over how much they’ve grown. Beautiful fish Sanjay!

Thats interesting... the lower fry Looks like a pigeon or golden. Not what I would have expected. By this size you can see distinct differences easy.. Do you see any real differences in the fry Sanjay?

I almost replied to an earlier post about culling the smaller ones, but this is why I didn't. Not all the ones that grow a bit slower are runts, and sometimes they are ones that have interesting phenotypes within the group. I've tried to encourage those when I can, just to see what the turn into.

That's right they are pigeons I did mention that in my post that there are fry from melons. They are about 7-10 days apart so the difference in growth, melon babies were raised by the parents and the brown based ones were raised artificially.
I really liked the outcome of how this turned out, I will shoot a video soon on this tank so we all can see what I'm talking about

I have seen almost no culls in the batch I raised artificially all looked healthy, some are smaller than the rest which I think is common and would wait to see how they catch up.

    Sanjay,
So the larger baby in the photo is the artificially raised discus?

Patty, that's right! Larger ones were artificially raised. They are also about a week older than the ones(melons) raised by parents.

Well I’ll be watching them as I’m fascinated with the whole process. I’ve bred cichlids before but they did all the work. This is crazy hard work and looking at what you accomplished your 1st time is amazing to me. Sounds like you’ll have a lot of threads! Ha ha I hope you’ll keep posting on your current ones. It’s a great thread!

Ah, gotcha, yes I remember seeing your other pair. You have some great fish you're working with. Will you be selling your fry & are you set up to ship? Cheers mate. Daniel
