    Default Possible fungus issue?

Hi guys, my parameters are as follows:

    Temp 29 degrees
    pH 6.2
    Ammonia 0
    Nitrite 0
    Nitrate 5-10
    50% WC twice a week.

All other fish are fine, except the one int the pictures. I assume she's a female and she has been picked on quite aggressively over the past few days. I think it fungus but I'm too new to be sure.

Identity and possible treatments would be much appreciated.

Hi Phil, I am going to suggest you try a salt dip then move this guy to a hospital tank. Al suggested this in another thread where the fish looked worst but similar. Here's the thread http://forum.simplydiscus.com/showth...14#post1287614. There are instructions on the forum on how to do a salt dip.

Thanks for the suggestion Pat. Unfortunately, I don't have a hospital tank. I've ordered Seachem Paraguard. If I don't see an improvement in a couple of days, the best I can do is give it a salt bath and put it back in the tank.

Out of curiosity, would a mild Epsom Salt bath for the complete tank help? I've added 10 tablespoons to the entire tank (400 litres) with no ill affects in the past. Last night, after a 50% WC I added 5 tablespoons.

Hi Phil, epsom salt is used for helping to ease a blockage in the gut so I do not see how it could help here. You will need to keep the water and tank very clean in order to help this fish. I would remove all the plants (for now) and focus on large daily water changes.

Thanks Pat. I'll provide updates on the fish in a couple of days or so.
