Whats your Favorite Discus in your current collection? Please post a pic here. Now I am not talking about about what many here would consider your best "quality" Discus. Thats not the same thing. I have some Discus that really nice looking fish. Good markings, great shape, great eye to body ratio... but they aren't necessarily my favorites. Sometimes our favorites are ones we raised from fry ourselves or ones we "saved" from a bad illness or maybe they just are more personable and greet us daily. I would like to see them. I think sometimes people get hung up on what their fellow hobbyist would think of their fish and that it translates to their fish keeping skills. I think thats just plain Silly. I have been to many peoples hatcheries and homes. Sure they have nice fish and those are the ones they show off, but I have seen some darn aweful looking fish there as well. Don't be governed by what you think people may say about your fish. If you enjoy them, thats what counts. Heres a chance to show off your Favorites. Are you going to be cowed into keeping them out of sight by the nagging fear that people won't like them?
Yes I know I am basically double daring you to post pics, but I swear some of you all need some serious prodding!

Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
My current favorite fish is a cuipeau I bought from Mark last wilds season. Here is a side by side of both its sides. always greets me at the front of the tank, always eats from my hand, always plays/attacks my siphon hose during water changes.

That pic is so old though! lol I meant to post a newer one. He's much bigger now.
This was my favorite. Just because she was unique. The other guys turned into some beasts! The very nice fella that bought my group was quite surprised at their true size when he came to pick them up 021201811311.jpg

This one is my favorite. Raised her from a pup.
Not the biggest or roundest from the group, but has a lovely nature about her, and always greets me when i walk into the room...probably expecting a feed.
Shes also the mum of a group l'm raising in my main tank, so shes not too far from family. Coming on to 3 years and probably the discus that i have had for the longest time now.

Spotted him inside a tank of "hopeless discus" in the lfs.
All the discus looking skinny and dark.
Bought him and managed to save him (metro with epsom salt + heater @32deg).
That is a beautiful fish Joe.
This Penang eruption from Kenny is probably my current favorite.

My Tiger Turquoise. He is adorable and can't wait till he is fully grown.
My favorite fish is my Red Eagle from Kenny's. I have two, but this one is the most striking and is very friendly, eats out of my hand (as do others), and is what catches the eye when viewing the tank.

Honestly, though, my Albino Red Spotted Green, also from Kenny's, is neck and neck w the Red Eagle.
