I checked out the processing software on my laptop and it's Windows 10, it's not bad.

Glad to help! Theres a few of us here that can help you out with any questions or problem.Don't be afraid to ask. Also theres a bunch of threads we have posted in the photo center on editting and post processing. Most of the photo nuts here use photoshop/lightroom..Being a linux user I use gimp and dark table both of which are open source and free to use. Unfortunately, Dark table isnt availible for pc/mac but Gimp is and its incredibly powerful as an image editor. Id suggest you download a copy and try it out. Theres a ton of tutorials on you tube.

IMG_0569 (6).jpgI always wondered how Nuthatches climbed up and down tree trunks until this shot, now I get it.

That is an awesome picture. You captured the claws on the tree perfect! Amazing how birds evolved to exploit their nitches.

I'm still learning how to use my new camera, it's been a good summer for birding.

    nicely seen and processed, Dave.

Might I recommend a Sigma 50-500mm for your Canon? You can get a used one at B&H photo or Keh.com for under $1000.00 often.

    Thanks Al,
I'm still working on the right combination of elements to get things just right. The Egret shots were what I was looking for but on an overcast day, not the best lighting. I've been trying to get a Red Tailed Hawk flying near the sun for the color in the tail showing through but the underside of the body is a bit dark. I tried something different with the Warbler, I found a good colorful scene and waited for something to fly into it. I sent the wrong Warbler photo this one should be better.

Much better! I like the leaf in the forefront and the light on the birds eye.
