I don't know anything much about genetic trait transfer but the pair looks beautiful and it looks to be a great project and reasonable hypothesis...all the best...looking forward to following this thread and the pairs progress!
What do you think about this pair ? I had wrigglers from these two which got eaten by the parents. Since then next 3 spawns were on the glass and I couldn’t save them. Now they are cleaning the cone.
Anyone guess how the fry might look like ? I’m hoping to get the redness of the female and the wild look from male.

Have a look here on posting pics...

as for the pair itself, with crosses , a lot depends on the genetics of the fish. Rose Reds can throw alot of different things. I'm interested in the "wild Green", whats its history? It looks atypical for one. It a nice looking fish though.

Thanks Daniel Hopefully they give a batch considering they took a break
It was sold to me as Wild Green, its been a year I got this fish, came to me skinny but now it looks healthy. Some of my friends in the Discus hobby doubted this to be an Alenquer and not a Wild Green. Either way I really like this big guy

Two weeks after I got him -

Hi Sanjay, Thats what I thought. It is a nice fish but my best guess is it belongs to the Blues/browns, alenquer possible, If I were you I would Breed them and see what you get. Thats the fun part.

it is a beautiful fish Sanjay, both fish are beauties actually. I would be anxious to see what type of babies came out. good luck

You did a great job of recovering that fish Sanjay. He was definitely looking thin when you got him. Way to go bringing him back to his full potential...obviously good food, clean water, and a friendly face on the other side of the glass
Thanks Al I hope I get some progress with these guys. Once I get some batches from these 2, my biggest hope is to have this Male pair with a Female Crimson Star Alenquer I got from Kenny. But at this point I don't want to separate these two and stress the Male.
Thank you Jacklyn ! I love your wild tank ! I even voted for you in the last biotope photo contest haha
Thank you! I'm very happy with the result too Considering they came in horrible condition from the shipment with barely any water in the bags.. I got 2 of these, I lost one after about 3 weeks I had them.
and I agree with Al and Pat that this is likely not a wild green....really beautiful though

I think its not a Wild green as well. I would like to consider it as a Alenquer, because while in my big tank it acquired really dark orange color shade on its body. Here is a pic I found when it was in my big tank-

Beautiful red based wild but do not think it is a green. Must have been mislabeled. If you recall what other locations the importer received in the same batch may help to identify the location.

Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
Thank you Pat! Seller told me that his wilds come from Colombia.
