Let’s talk plants for a minute. I’ve never been a fan of planted tanks, just a personal preference. However I always use some sort of floater or emerged plants with their roots in the water for water quality.
So this tank will be no different, there will be a ton of pothos all the way in the back, left to right. I’ve been trying for ages to get some Ceratophyllum as floaters for the blues, but no luck here.
I’m also contemplating adding one or 2 big submerged plants, suspects here are Lotus and Echinodorus. I’m a bit worried though that it will change the look of the tank too much, drawing too much attention to the huge bright green, or in the case of lotus reddish, brute of a plant. The idea of a lotus growing all the way above the water column though intrigues me.
