    Default Steve's Contest Thread

    Hi Folks,
I guess I'll throw my hat in the ring. I'm going to follow this Red Snakeskin pair and their growouts. (Yes, they're red when not spawning.) I was going to clean the tank up a bit, but they didn't wait for me. The second link is to some background music. Once you get it started you can click back to the video. (I have to give Liz some credit for the idea here )

How pretty! Awesome pair you have there. Their breeding dress is amazing.

Thanks Gabe. "Breeding dress" is not a phrase I've heard before, but I assume it refers to their colors and/or the egg tube?

Thanks Daniel. They've spawned a few small batches that I didn't keep, mostly because I wasn't ready to take care of them. Now that it's my summer break I'm planning to try to keep up with the fry's needs, meaning mostly water changes. I have to thank Kenny for sending me these guys. They came from two different shipments last year sometime.

I’m amazed that they can change colors from red to blue like that. Really cool thread. I watched it late last night and went to bed with that song in my head. Ha ha

Well, it turned out to be a small group, maybe because the tank was really due for a cleaning, but who knows. This pair has been spawning regularly, so if this group doesn't work out, I'll follow them to the next.
