    Default Sanjay’s Contest thread

After a mess up with the shipment, it took 3 long days for these guys to make it safely. I got 11 cobalts for growouts here(some with prominent snakeskin pattern). Parents of these babies carry genes from Piwowarsky snakeskin and Forrest Cobalt.

Fish are in a 55 gallon bare bottom tank. With couple of sponge filters and aqua clear HOB filter sign just sponges in them. They are being fed beefhear and prime reef flakes for now(Day 2). Will be introducing more food options as they settle down. They will be receiving daily water changes for now.

Here are some pictures from this morning and from yesterday.

    Day 2:

We got through Day 1, with most of the day being dimmer lights on. Fed the fish after about 5 hours they are in the tank from the shipment.
On Day 2 you will mostly notice these guys being skittish or hiding most of the time or when they see you walking in. This is common, you need be patient until they get used to seeing you and the feeding schedule. Its end of the day and they are finally approaching towards me. Here is a picture of them today and also them slowly going towards my wife

Love these baby cobalts. What size are these? So cute! My smallest fish in my group was a 2.5 “HB Cobalt and I thought that was small. He outgrew many of his bigger tankmates. Going to be fun watching yours grow more beautiful in the weeks to come.
