Please vote in this Poll for July's Pic of the Month ! The poll will run one week.
Unlike our photo contests in the past where we only want to have the vote and no discussion, You are encouraged to discuss what you like about a particular picture. If a picture does not appeal to you, no comment should be made as everyone has different tastes and the goal here is not to photo critique. Its just to enjoy images posted through out the month..
Thanks all,
al
Ps.. You can start Nominating images posted today (excluding the this thread) through the month of August for the August Pic of the month. To do so simply pm a moderator with the link of the image .

I really like entry C...A scene created by nature on the outside and captured beautifully by the op from the inside.
We're here for a good time...not a long time
Hey folks,
Two more days to vote!
Congratulation Thomaswal . Your close-ups are stunning .
Hey!
Thanks for your kind words!
I enjoy taking close-up shots of my fish because it's easier to concentrate on the small details when they stop moving :P
For example, without the photos, I would have probably not really noticed that my Blue Diamond is full of small black dots when breeding!
And in fact, I also find it somehow easier since with close-ups, I don't have to worry too much about the background, the shadow of the flash etc.
In my tank, I don't have any problem with the fish having a look at the camera. Maybe your fish are too curious or too hungry? ^^
Usually it takes me 1 to 2h to photograph the fish. After about 10 minutes, they just stop caring about me.
And a small final remark... I don't normally feed the fish right before photographing them because for now, the food I use is too messy and clouds up the water...
;)
Congratulations Thomas, it is a fantastic picture!
