So the four fish are doing great. However the first two fish who were in the tank are letting the new guys know who is boss. I added a Aquaclear 110 to one side of the tank and use it as a worm dispenser. I take two of Al's FDBW cubes, moisten them and place them where the waterfall from the Aquaclear is hitting the water. The flow rolls the cubes and individual worms are coming off the cube to feed the fish waiting below having a great old feast.

Also learned that the heckel cross was at the 2018 NADA show.

Interesting ! is there a reason to not stick the cube to the glass of the tank instead ?

Reason I ask is because I noticed my few wilds I have do not eat them off the glass but wait for them to fall off (loose) when the other (domestic) fish start pecking on it. I always wondered if wilds prefer to eat loose worms ones over a cube on a class.

Can't wait to see some pics of all the 4 wilds together

They will take it off the glass in time Sanjay. Since they seem to naturally grab things in the water column it is a natural way to get them eating well. Also it is harder for one discus to hog the food. I will see about getting a feeding video tonight if you do not mind my beater 75 QT tank.

Not a great video but this show the wilds feeding from the flow of the filter. Remember that discus do not like current lol. The heckel cross and wild showing bars came this past Sunday. I hope soon the bars will disappear but this one is low man on the totem pole.

Looking great, Pat. It looks like they are adapting very well. Excited for going back to the wild side?

You must be thrilled with these! So beautiful and those healthy appetites to boot! That’s a great idea using the filter.

I am Patty The filter sets them up for the way I feed in the 230 (display tank). I soak the cubes until they are totally soft and place the cubes so they go thru the sump pump which spreads the loose worms totally throughout the tank.

Wow, your new wilds are real fussy eaters
Looks like where they came from they might have a few piranhas for breakfast!

Thanks Paul, ok with me as long as they are good eaters. I will admit to having to watch my fingers when doing water changes.

I do have 3 wilds currently

1 of them formed a pair with domestic kind and produced fry as well, but after that female never laid eggs again lol, so I currently kept the male with a Curipera Cross (domestic).
