    Default Safe raises TDS normal?

    Hi all,

My TDS from my aging barrel reads 37 PPM, if I add safe it goes up to 76 is this normal?

    Thanks,

I just did a test. I filled a container with a little over 4oz of my aged water just enough to reach the TDS meter reading line. TDS read 37, added a pinch of safe and reading went to 56, added more safe and it shot to 240.

I don't know the definitive answer but anything that disolves in the water is a disolved solid. They say that a rise in pH isn't harmful, but I've never had experience with that except for after aging. When the CO2 gasses off the pH generally goes up.
