Default Sometimes you have to cheat on the grillin..

I love cooking over charcoal and wood fires .. most of the time thats what I will do.

But if its raining or I.am rushed the propane grill gets some burn time.

Sausage patties and home made beefy burgers on a rainy day...Hardwood charcoal would be better but this will do nicely.:

Still looks good! I have a $600 propane grill that I used once and has been setting in my garage for 5 years. I bought it for the exact situation you described.

For steaks and burgers I have my Webers and for smoking I have the offset...

I use the only grill that I have - a Weber natural gas grill located on a covered patio deck - so I have no choices but it doesn't matter what the weather is doing.

Cheap gas grill due to the fact that I can use it when there is a burn ban on (which is most of the summer around here).

I do sometimes fill a tin box with wet wood and put it over the flame to get some smoky flavor on the meat.

I also mix a ratio of 3:1 ground beef to sausage so that the burgers don't crumble and become charcoal.
