    1. Please explain the problems with your fish. When did you notice the problems and did anything unusual happen that you think started them?
    (explained in first post)

    2. Symptoms (i.e. turning dark, excess slime, not eating, clamped fins, flashing, darting, clamped gills, white/yellow/green poop, hiding, headstanding or tailstanding, white on tips of fins, rotting or fungus, blisters/white zits on fish, bloated, cloudy eyes, wounds).

    3. What medications/ treatments have you already tried and what were the results. Include dosage and duration of treatment.

    5. Water change regime (What percentage and how often).

planted tank and its been running for a very long time prob a couple of years

    7. Do you age your water? If you do for how long and what is the ph swing.
no its not needed i dont get a ph swing

    8. Parameters and water source;

Note: Water Parameters are important in diagnosing problems within a tank. If you don't own test kits for the following information, you can purchase them, test your parameters and post this info as soon as possible.

    - temp _____91(usually 84-86)

    - ph _____ 7.4

    - ammonia reading ____0

    - nitrite reading ____0

    - municipal water ____yes

    - RO water ____no

    9. Any new fish, plants or inverts added recently.

I have recently gone through the same issues.

    1. I would isolate the sick fish in a QT tank.
    2. Raise the temp to 92-94 f
    3. Add salt at 1 TBS per gallon
    4. Treat the entire tank with metro
    5. Boost water changes to 50% every day or at least every other day until cured and replace metro that was removed during water change.

Do this for at least 2 weeks. Then, up the water changes to at least every other day. Then, I would get a larger tank. 30g is too small for 4 adult discus.

Let us know how it goes for you...

    Brian
