Well, I got the tank ready, got the camera on the phone and tape measure ready, I netted him and the phone rang... I measured him about 6 weeks ago and he was a little over 7".

I always hate measuring. I rarely position it right anyway as anyone can tell by the measurements earlier in this post.
It was a spammer anyway, lol...
He looks every bit of 10 feet long to me
Those wondering what effect darker backgrounds have on certain discus can see it here. These guys have been dark to totally black from the day I put them in their new tank with the imitation rock background and black sides. The bottom is the same as other tanks. And the two I put in with the Curipera's were back to normal color immediately after being moved. Interesting...

Wow, big diff. What color scheme do you prefer mate?
I like the looks of the new background and sides but I like the looks of the discus with the blue background. I'll either change this tank to blue or maybe swap tanks with the tangerines. The problem is I need help because this tank was made with 1/2" thick glass and weighs a ton. One issue I have with the new tank is the elcheapo hood and led lights that came with it. They are so bright white that I have to scrub algae off every square inch daily.
That monster curipera makes the others look like juvies.
Still hanging out...

Not a sign in any of my tanks except for the Passions. Since these are mostly high bodied, it's harder to guess on their sex, but I'd really like to cross one with the monster Curipera, but he shows no interest either...
