Even though I would like to shy away from breeding brother to sis, I do have to agree. I think they could produce some very nice young ones. I've also been thinking about pairing up one of them with my monster Curipera, mainly to introduce a little more size to these very nice discus... But then again, I'm no genetics guru either...
Actually, I will be moving another tank into my nearly finished fish room in a week or so and I plan to put the Curiperas in the same tank as 2 or 3 of these guys...

What an incredible journey Brian! I just spent the past hour reading everything in this thread to much amazement and satisfaction. It's posts like these that that motivate my introduction to discus! Seeing how you've grown them out from such a small size to how big they are now is so mesmerizing.
I can't wait to start my journey in January!
Thank you Shan! Posts like yours are what this contest was all about!!

Very nice colours and patterns Brian and they look big and meaty too .Very nice outcome .
Thanks Filip. I really like them!!
I split some up today and put them into a new home with my Curipera's. The Snakes now know what it's like to swim with the big fish

Awesome Brian, that's a beautiful looking group!!
I want to do that one day, can’t afford any discus right now. Really expensive prices in my area. For example $70CAD for a 3”. What the heck!? I just saw a blue scorpion x blue diamond bulldog pair for $100 today and am debating on buying it. What do you guys think?

This will give an idea on the size of this monster. The SS is 5 1/2". The challenge fish have a bit of growing to do. I put what I think are 2 females in with him. I'd love to breed in some size into them...

Brian that Curipera is a beast!! Great breeding project mate. Watching with eager anticipation
I would think the fry would be stunning from that large male. Curiperas are really nice. He has some nice colours there.

Beautiful fish. Good luck on the breeding project. Can't wait to see the outcome.

To try an introduce overall size, I wouldn't mind breeding this guy with any strain other than a PB...
That's a beaut Brian! There was some good size in the granddad of those grow outs, so you might have some good size potential there.
