    thank you.

This tank was sitting with just my plecostomus and I decided to do some upgrades (second heater, new HOB filter to replace old HOB filter), and add some new fish.

Eventually this will house some wild type discus as well.

Currently there are 12 Marble Hatchets, 12 Cardinals, 12 Rummies, 6 Schwartzi corries, four German Blue Rams (two males, two females), and about 10 albino Bristlenose Plecostomus (potentially two breeding pair).

Very nice mix and similar to what I have in my 150...minus the Hatches and add a pair of Angels.

I’m partial to cardinals and rummy nose too. I just bought some cardinals and Bronze Cory Dora’s for my 75 gal angel tank. They are in quarantine now and I have rummy nose with my discus.
Have you got a picture of the whole tank you could share?

Here is the tank from a week prior to adding any fish. In this photo it only contains a dozen or so albino Bristlenose Plecostomus of varying size (four are about 6-7 inches long males and females).

    75 gallon.jpg

only the last 8 to ten inches of the left side of the tank are cut off here, and there isn't anything there, but a reptile cave that I drilled a hole in to release air (so it wouldn't float) that I used as a catfish cave for my Raphael Striped Cat (which I have rehomed as he was big enough to eat any tetras, rams, or corries put in the tank).

Popped a quick pair of pics with my phone... If I get ambitious maybe I'll try a few with the wide angle lens.
The discus in my community tank are runts, though still have decent shape and color
I've found that keeping smaller discus in a community tends to mean fewer Tetras end up as snacks ;-)Attachment 119179IMG_20181028_201442_238.jpg

Wow, you really have a green thumb with that plant. Is that pathos on wood? Beautiful piece now that I see all it it. Wait, now I’m really impressed. I just saw the close up of that plant. That’s Anubis? It’s huge! You would laugh at my little piece!

That is an Anubias I think of the Nana variety that I started with about three leaves on a stem.

I just chopped the heck out of it before this photo as one stalk was pushing against the back of the tank and knocking the Manzanita stump over. Also I had many leaves climbing out of the tank, but when they got out of the tank they would die as we are in the desert here.

Using a drip I'm able to keep nitrates under 30ppm so I'm giving it a go.

    @ dagray
    Love the the Anubias!
I'd love to slowly start adding plants to my tank and remove the plastic ones but I'm hesitant as I keep coming across threads of snail or other unwanted infestations and/or disease. How does one avoid such problems?

Give the plants a bleach dip. 20 parts water to one part bleach.
