Discus Breathing Heavy, is this normal

Hi all,

Im fairly new to discus , i have a semi planted tank setup with around 6 discus and 4 angels, tank is 65 gallon. i see the Discus breathing odd. they are moving normally and food they only eat blood worms live, below is the video . could you guys suggest if its normal or somethings up

the water temperature is set at 28C

Hi, I can see a fair few fish in the tank and no airstone so probably the visibly increased respiration rate is due to low desolved oxygen in the water. I would try to get an air-pump wirh dual output and put an airsone on each 8n the tank (but away from the external filter intake or it will suck in air bubbles)

the aeration are fine, they are running at full speed . there are 6 discus and 3 baby discus onyl few of them having issue

5. Water change regime (What percentage and how often).


6. How long has tank been running? Is it bare bottom? If you have substrate, what type and how deep is it?


7. Do you age your water? If you do for how long and what is the ph swing.


8. Parameters and water source;

Note: Water Parameters are important in diagnosing problems within a tank. If you don't own test kits for the following information, you can purchase them, test your parameters and post this info as soon as possible.
