Default I'm stuck!. perils of being a pleco

I had a bit of ruckus in one of my tanks...Apparantly those plastic end pieces that some heaters come with for safety so you dont break them as easily are not SAFE for plecos .Particularly males

    I hope he is okay.

I found one of my females deceased today, could be old age as none of the other fish are showing sign or symptom of disease.

I have found a growing catfish trapped in a tank decoration.. needless to say the fish lived and grew from the 2.5 inches it was to a whopping 12 inches (Raphael Striped Catfish)... I moved that tank decoration to a box in the closet with spare aquarium supplies.

Reminds me of that old video of catching a monkey by getting it to reach into a hole to grab something, but then it can't get its fist out, and won't let go.

I think he was planning to tryout for the Raiders after last night's debacle. Glad he's alright.

I thought about going back inside and getting out the camera, but I had to save the poor hen. Poor thing was all stiff when I first rescued her, but she's walking around with the rest of the flock normally now.
