    Default Kiki wood

Does anybody know about kiki wood?
Does it leach tannins? What does it do to the pH? Would my pleco like it? Is it as nutritious and provide fiber like mopani?

Not ignoring you but I googled around and couldn't find much of use. I'm sure you did the same.

I have never heard of this wood. How about soaking it in a bucket of water for a time and seeing what it does?

so you either have to be willing for your fish to be a crash test dummy, or you buy something that has is more commonly used...I know which way I would go, especially if you are investing in discus...

    I found this: https://www.trademarkia.com/kiki-wood-76164865.html

    And this: https://www.facebook.com/clarkfeedan...8818471803825/

Looks like Malaysian driftwood. That's all I use in my pleco tanks (wouldn't recommend mopani for rasping plecos).

I think you may have stumped us Holly. I too was browsing and the only site I found was Kiki wood chips used for litter bedding... rabbits, hamster and guinea pig etc...
