Anchoring anubias to driftwood

I've got 3 anubias currently in rockwool. I finally got some driftwood pieces i want to anchor them to. What's the best way? Somehow tie them? I thought I read somewhere about glueing. Do they eventually grow into cavities in the wood? Do I try to remove as much of the rockwool as possible?

Member hart24601 has a BB tank with plants glued to rocks and wood. You may be able to search the thread he started with great pics. I msg'd him for details. He uses super glue gel. Apparently only the gel works and you can even glue underwater. Apply to the plants rhizome, let a skin form, and then apply to the wood or rock as desired. The roots will eventually take hold themselves.
I have not tried it as yet, but i did buy the glue. Just not sure atm if I'm gonna add plants.

I would think fishing line would also work.

Ive used brown thread.. just plain brown sewing thread.

Its very simple.. What you want to use is gel superglue.. Ya I know, it just sounds wrong but works great. Trim back the roots and try to glue the rock and the rhizome.

Does the plant attach to the wood eventually itself?

If I wanted to try the gluing, should I dry both surfaces as much as possible first? Without keeping the plant out of water for too long.

Gel superglue works best but regular superglue also works, just the surfaces have to be quite dry. Al Al said cotton wool also works, easy to tie them on wood, on stones not so much so the superglue comes in handy. Same thing for Microsorum (Java fern)

I've glued with both the plant and the rock/wood being wet. One thing I have noticed, if you glue it wet, the glue will be white not clear.

That's true, but once the plants grow some they will hide the white glue.

Dark braided or any fishing line also works. I had great luck with plain clay pots and gravel just do not bury the rhizome. Eventually the roots will attach to the gravel in the pot and to the wood itself if you tie to wood.

I've generally cut slots or holes in the wood and fitted the anubias in without glue or thread. In no time the roots grow and act as an anchor, albeit occasionally I've had to re-attach them but more often than not they're fine. B
